Subject: [gentoo-dev] PaX, Gentoo, and Adamantix Cooperative Development Alliance
Date: 07 Jul 2003 13:50:51 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1057600250.28274.7930.camel@simple> (raw)

The PaX, GentooHardened, and Adamantix projects are pleased to announce
the formation of a cooperative development alliance forged to facilitate
delivery of freely available software to linux using PaX in the
framework.

Under this new alliance, the projects will share information and
coordinate efforts for porting software to take advantage of PaX's
Address Space Layout Randomizations. Members of the alliance will share
information using a neutral ground WiKi at
http://www.plus-linux.de/wiki.cgi?PaXAlliance which will provide a home
for this cooperative effort.

While each project will continue to deliver software in their own way,
the coordination between projects will:
 * Accelerate the development efforts of all projects
 * Avoid unwanted duplication of effort
 * Improve the consistency, quality, and responsiveness of ports

For more information, please contact us at the appropriate address:
PaX: pageexec (at) freemail (dot) hu
 Gentoo: solar@gentoo.org
Adamantix: peter (at) trusteddebian (dot) org

Peter Busser of the Adamantix project has created a mailing list for
this effort called pax-aslr
