I can't seem to attach an ebuild to a bug. I keep trying to attach my
update ebuilds to bug #672, but all I get is ...
'No file was provided, or it was empty'.
I get this with mozilla and opera, so it's not a browser issue.
I've specified the file name
/usr/portage/gnome-base/bonobo/bonobo-1.0.19.ebuild ... I gave it a
description and a mime-type ...
Just no go.
Is bugzilla broken at the moment?
Or am I doign something wrong?

It surely appears to be so. I was never able to attach a file to a
bug. The simplest way is to post it somewhere on the web, and provide
the URL in the comment.

Or paste the ebuild as a comment, that's the way I like best...

That never worked for me, either, because the lines get wrapped. :(

That's all fine and dandy ... But the docs on gentoo.org say to post
them as an attachment. So someone either needs to fix bugzilla or we
should change the docs.
I think someone is trying to fix bugzilla btw.

Hi all,
bugs.gentoo.org is mostly fixed but for some reason search by date isn't
working atm. zhen is looking at fixing this now.
Other than that it should be working fine.
Sorry for the downtime :/
Huge thanks to the people at OSU have been extremely helpful and gone out
of their way to lend a hand.
Cheers,
Rob

I'm showing it still is broken. I get a timeout from the browser when
accessing it and pinging it gives nothing. Should it take a while before
it's available or should it be online right away?

They're back up. I'm guessing you're having dns cache issues. Here's
the IPs:
orange-pc cur > host forums.gentoo.org
forums.gentoo.org has address 128.193.4.112
orange-pc cur > host bugs.gentoo.org
bugs.gentoo.org has address 128.193.5.28
If you're not running your own dns server, you might want to add these
hosts / IPs to your /etc/hosts file (for the time being).
Hope that helps,

Thanks -- we'll look into it.
Just so everyone knows, the server that used to be bugs.gentoo.org had the
hard drive fail last week. (IBM Ultrastar, btw...) So, at the moment,
we're running on temporary hardware and these glitches are a result. We'll
likely have a replacement in and operational mid-next week, so we'll get
things back to normal at that point.
Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the update. Are the usual emails from bugzilla about case
updates/creates affected by this as well?

I'm going go with yes since the bugs I've worked on the last day or so have yet to generate any email...

To whom it may concern,
Due to the bug with the queries taking an excessive amount of time, I
used the 2.17.4 version cgi for a temporary fix which caused the buglist
to loose the login cookies. I resolved the orignal problem with the
folks at bugzilla.org and solved another issue people were having. The
preset queries are no longer on the query page, it's on the buglist page
at the bottom where it also has forget this query.
You'll be noticing some new preset queries in the future and two
gentlemen who will be doing the janitor work for bugs.gentoo.org which
should resolve around 700 of the current bugs that are open and
untouched for the last 90 days. If you currently have some issues with
bugzilla, please try to file a bug in the future. It might be easier to
message me on irc and ask for the request but at the same time, when I
do an upgrade some of those changes might be non-existant and no way to
see how I fixed it in the first place other than a diff which takes
longer than looking up a bug that I worked to get the feature in the
first place.
Thanks,
Benjamin Coles
