Subject: Renamed dev-java/jakarta-regexp to dev-java/regexp
Date: 04 Nov 2002 16:04:32 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1036440272.10365.50.camel@strider> (raw)
Hi everyone,
As the subject says i renamed dev-java/jakarta-regexp to
dev-java/regexp.
Q. Why ?
A. Because, all Jakarta Apache projects available on Gentoo are called
by their project name, and this is the only one that has the jakarta-
prefix so we decided to remove jakarta-* prefix to jakarta packages
since people search the packages looking for regexp, tomcat, oro and not
jakarta-oro, jakarta-tomcat, jakarta-regexp.
Q. What i need to do know ?
A. Easy, to update the package, do:
emerge unmerge jakarta-regexp
emerge regexp
Then its done.
Cheers to everyone,
