I ran emerge rsync followed by

emerge --update --pretend world

and here is what I am getting:

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating world dependencies \

emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy
">=media-sound/alsa-lib-0.9.0_rc1" (from ebuild /
media-sound/alsamixergui-0.9.0.1.2-r1 merge).

It seems that media-sound/alsa-lib no longer exists. How do I fix this
problem?

Avi

In the alsamixergui ebuild, you have:

DEPEND=">=media-sound/alsa-driver-0.9.0_rc1
    >=media-sound/alsa-lib-0.9.0_rc1
    >=media-sound/alsa-utils-0.9.0_rc1
    >=x11-libs/fltk-1.1.0_rc6"

The alsa-lib line is wrong. Change it to

    >=media-libs/alsa-lib-0.9.0_rc1

I'll file a bug about this.

A
