I tried to unmerge old versions and reemerge it, does'nt help. aaxine works fine, so I assume the problem is with xine-ui. Immediately after starting it drops out. This is what I get, although it is german, it shouldn't be too difficult to understand: Dies ist xine (X11 gui) - Ein freier Video-Player v0.9.11 (c) 2000-2002 bei G. Bartsch und dem xine Projektteam. Kompiliert mit xine Bibliothek 0.9.11 [Sat 22 Jun 2002 20:39:21]-[gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)]-[Linux 2.4.19-crypto-r7 i686]. Xine Bibliothek, Version 0.9.11 (0.9.11a) gefunden. Speicherzugriffsfehler xine 0.9.10 works without problems Another thing I noticed is that in 0.9.11 the xine developers removed nearly all themes of the tarball, anybody willing to do an ebuild for that ;-) bye suka
