Hi Gontran,
I'm afraid I did recompile the nvidia-drivers.
This was a case of having a constant blank screen, not the 'flash,
flash, flash, flash, command line prompt' that you usually get.
full hid support was in. As I say, it was basically the same config
file I used for my current (working) kernel.
What's the 'southbridge workaround'?

Unrelated: I have the same mobo, have you considered using the "southbrigde
workaround" that is optional?
