Greetings
I've just compiled the new kernel (gentoo-sources) and I have commed across a
little issue. When I specify that my procesor is a Amd K7, the vfat module
compiles good but it wont get loaded.
Issuing a "insmod vfat", reports something like "sys_ctl_mmx not defined". I'm
not much of a developer but I'd say that the vfat module needs some pentium
mmx instructions.
Once I change the option "Proccesor type" back to Pentium III the problem
fades away.
Just something to keep in mind and maybe to put in the documentation.
Regards
Mario

Just out of curiosity; what happens if you compile the vfat fs driver
into the kernel instead of as a module?
