Hi!

I there a standard operating procedure (SOP) for tarballs that don't
have version numbers.  For example, I have been assigned Bug# 480 (see
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480 ).  The ebuild is relatively
straight forward, however there is no version included in the tarball
name.  I know that in the past, gentoo developers have added a
appropriate version number to the tarball that goes into the Gentoo
archive, for example see x11-misc/gkrellm-gnome.  Is this still the
standard practice?

I would like to clear this bug. The submitted ebuild was for version
1.0, but I will commit version 1.1 which has been enhanced to play nice
with pipes.
