[gentoo-dev] esound and alsa problems

I have trouble making esound work when compiled with alsa support. All the 
problems went away when I compiles esound without alsa support. Look at

The hardware is onboard audio on a chaintech 7aja using the snd-card-via686a.

Anybody else have similar problems?

Anyone that experience these kind of problems, please add a comment
about it on the bug and I'll reopen it if it's a common problem.
