Hey
Really nice this bugzilla. But it was much easier to submit ebuilds as
mail-attachment. Sure it's easier to manage bugs this way.
I don't find an file-selector there. Where can i upload files. e. g. to
submit ebuilds? Must ebuilds go to 'Ebuild' or to the specific product
like 'gnome' or 'kde' and where to post something like a program in
'x11-misc' - why we don't add there all the categories in 'find
/usr/portage -maxdepth 1 -type d ! -name profiles ! -name script ! -name
files'?
Thanks in advance
Sebastian

I agree to this. Is it possible to work with bugzilla via email like
with the debian bug tracking system?

To submit a new ebuild file a new bug report in the Ebuild category.
After you have submitted the bug report you will see link to attach
a file. Use it to attach the ebuild file. For more information see:

Hallski covered all this in his e-mail a couple of days ago with subject
"Everyone that has uncommitted ebuilds, please read!"

On the first page write the summary (usally name of ebuild) and the
description (be verbose). Commit that, and the next page has a link to
attach files. attache the ebuild as text.
Must ebuilds go to 'Ebuild' or to the specific product
New ebuilds go to ebuild. Hallski will then route it to the correct
place.

If no one else is already working on it, I'll write up a howto document (in
XML) explaining the new proceedure for submitting ebuilds. I'll just base it
on Hallski's email.
Any objections?

Read the instructions at:
http://lists.gentoo.org/pipermail/gentoo-dev/2002-January/008970.html
Yes, it's lots of easier to manage. And as you have all seen, the other
(which was only temporary) way of doing it was unmanagable.
It's a little harder to do it now, not much harder though. You do it
over web instead of over email. (Perhaps it's possible to make it
happend in some way over email, haven't looked at the email-capabilities
of Bugzilla).

Thank you, that's great.

No! :)
We will later add a nicer interface to the bugzilla that lets you submit
your ebuilds without having to learn Bugzilla first.
