Ok, bugzilla is functionally setup to accept new bugs. If you are a dev
with cvs access, you need to create a new bugzilla user with your
gentoo.org email address. Those with gentoo.org email addresses
automatically get proper dev priviledges.

To create an account go here:

http://bugs.gentoo.org/createaccount.cgi

Non-devs get the ability to create bugs, and edit most bits on those bugs
they created. They can also add comments to any bug.

Doesn't work for me:

-------
Software error:

Quantifier follows nothing before HERE mark in regex m/* << HERE
@gentoo.org/ at globals.pl line 666.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster (www@gentoo.org), giving
this error message and the time and date of the error.

OK, question: to make sure I understand the products/components properly: if a
problem is with an ebuild (i.e. won't compile) the it's assigned to Ebuilds,
not KDE/Gnome/whatever. Right?

And: why don't we get a different list of components for each of the 3
products? And what exactly is product Admin?

No, Ebuilds are for commiting ebuilds/patches for ebuilds. It's just a
temporary component, as soon as a developer have looked at them they'll
be moved to the correct other component.

If you click on one of the products you get a new list in the
component-field (if not that might be some java-script issue).

The Admin module is for infrastructure issues, such as mailinglists,
webserver, cvs/rsync, ...

Yes, it's my kde3-cvs-konqueror that's making trouble. Sorry, thanks for the
pointer.

Hi

I've been looking through buzilla and noticed quite a few bugs that could
probably be closed, because the problems have been fixed in the current
stable versions of the packages in question.

Where can I find some docs on policies and procedures for becoming a
bugzilla janitor or gentoo developer?

Thanks

Andrew
