Hey,
next problem. Somewhere i have read about replacements of the non secure
bind. I ask myself why so many people use bind if it doesn't work good
or make millions of problems. I like to try djbdns (in combination with
q-mail). There seems not to be a init.d script. Mhh. Use anybody this
app and could he write an init script? Have you a good page for the
first steps with this software?
Thanks in advance
Sebastian Werner

I would think that it would be appropriate to ask the legal
questions surrounding the distribution of much of djb's work.
You may also want to consider maradns, which isn't as
license-encumbered.

You'll probably want to run this via daemontool's supervise mechanism.
Instructions can be found on the following websites:
http://cr.yp.to/djbdns.html

Already asked. We don't distribute binary packages of his software,
which is where the bulk of his restrictions. By building from source,
we get around the issue, in the same manner as the BSDs.

While MaraDNS is nice, it still has a number of missing features and is
still getting the wrinkles ironed out. This is probably not the
software one wants to be running if they don't plan on sitting on top of
it.
