Yes, until we have kde4, and then gnome3 and so on... We will never avoid /usr/kde/?/ directories and imho it is a very good idea to keep it like that. Gentoo is the first distribution where I can finally do an "ls /usr/bin/*". And I like it, even if it is not very fhs compilant./.
