Hey,

these are the last lines:

I have xml and xml2 (2.2.10) in my make.conf and have installed both libs 
succesfully.

Have anybody this problem before - or can you test it.

Mikael will probably chime in, but have you tried emerging the latex 
libxml2 (2.4.10)?

Oops.  That should have been "latest libxml2".  I have been writing too
many docs in LaTeX!
