Hey guys,

Just trying to compile Evolution 0.15-r2 from portage and when it is going
through and doing all it's checks it seems to stop at movemail and never
recover, it also seems to lock the terminal so it must be killed.

Here is a log of the last ~10 lines before the problem.

**
checking for nss.h... yes
checking for ssl.h... no
checking for smime.h... no
checking for Mozilla nss libraries... no
checking for OpenSSL includes...
checking for openssl/ssl.h... yes
checking for openssl/x509.h... yes
checking for dlopen in -ldl... yes
checking for OpenSSL libraries... yes
checking for gtkdoc-mkdb... false
checking for movemail...
**

Any help to fix the problem would me much appreciated.

Regards,

Joshua Pierre

Just to clearify, this has nothing todo with the move. I think someone
else had this problem a long time ago, anyone remember a fix?

I have a feeling it's related to emacs. Can you post the output from the
last few lines of config.log in /var/tmp/portage/evolution-0.15-r2/work/
?

Hi,

Hopefully you can solve my problem which is most probably really simple.
Anyway, below is some output from:

/var/tmp/portage/evolution-0.15-r2/work/evolution-0.15/config.log

**
configure:11694: checking for dlopen in -ldl
configure:11713: gcc -o conftest -I/var/tmp/portage/evolution-0.15-r2/work/db3/include -mcpu=i686 -march=i686 -O3 -pipe -I/usr/include/gnome-1.0 -I/usr/include -DNEED_GNOMESUPPORT_H -I/usr/lib/gnome-libs/include -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/gnome-xml -I/usr/include/orbit-1.0 -Wall -Wunused -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include conftest.c -ldl 1>&5
configure:11735: checking for OpenSSL libraries
configure:11753: gcc -o conftest -I/var/tmp/portage/evolution-0.15-r2/work/db3/include -mcpu=i686 -march=i686 -O3 -pipe -I/usr/include/gnome-1.0 -I/usr/include -DNEED_GNOMESUPPORT_H -I/usr/lib/gnome-libs/include -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/gnome-xml -I/usr/include/orbit-1.0 -Wall -Wunused -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -lssl -lcrypto -ldl conftest.c 1>&5
configure:11826: checking for gtkdoc-mkdb
configure:11904: checking for movemail
**

If you want the full log just email me off list.

Thanks,

Hi!

You were right about this.

Hallski knocked up a lovely patch to fix this slight problem in the configure
script.

He rocks as it is now compiling.

Just letting you know, hopefully he commits it into the portage tree.

Regards,

Joshua Pierre
