Hello;

I'm sending this to inquire if Gentoo needs anyone to help with keeping some
of the less used packages up to date.

ie. Source Navigator, Endeavour2, memprof .. etc-etc

If so, I'm offering ...

Sincerely;

Kevin Ford

until we get a better system in place for package tracking,
just post a bug to bugs.gentoo.org saying 'package blah blah
is out of date, version blah blah exists'
that would work perfectly for the developers who can commit
to cvs

Tcl ?

Tcl/Tk 8.4.0 was released on Sept 10th, with scripted document support,
virtual file systems "everywhere", and greatly improved speed...
but Gentoo still uses Tcl/Tk 8.3 --- maybe because of a freeze on
new ebuilds, or maybe because the developers are Pythons and not
paying attention to TCL :-<

i develop on TCL ;)
but yes, with the freeze and the proven ability
of 8.3 to be stable (shhh) 8.4 isn't going to be
thrown in now unless there are some compelling
arguments for it
