[gentoo-dev] Aborted emerge: gv-3.5.8.ebuild

Hi!

In the course of merging the lyx packages, I have encountered some
trouble with the gv-3.5.8.ebuild.  The relevant error messages follow.

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `gv.man', needed by `gv._man'. 
Stop.
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make: *** [all] Error 2

Note:  lyx-base merged fine and runs fine, however I wasn't able to
merge the lyx-util or lyx ebuilds because of the gv problem above.

This is just a guess: smp trouble. Not that you need to have smp to have the 
trouble. I'll force linear building on gv, rsync in about 20 minutes from my 
post and try again. If the problem persists, say so and I'll look into it in 
the evening.

I'll check after I get home from work (5-6 hours).
Thank you for addressing this problem.
It will be nice having lyx around in case I ever submit a paper to Physical 
Review :)

I'm currently ading a new lyx-1.1.6fix3 ebuild instead of fix2, by the time 
you said you'll get home it'll be complete. emerge rsync and enjoy. And they 
say lyx-1.2.0 is coming! :-)

Hm. Well, I can't think of any reason off the top of my head, but I'll try to 
look into it. In the meantime you might try building the vanilla sources.
