hmm, this is very strange .. afther bnooting with loadlin yesterday i got
the message
that kernel is trying to get read access beyond the ramdisk limits .. so it
can't find
init :( this could be a problem with loadlin, but i don't think so ...

did you check it with a scsi system ?? i can uncompress the initrd and mount
it on my
working gentoo box, so i don't think my download is corrupt ...
