Subject: [gentoo-dev] Missing libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 on Gentoo 1.4
Date: Fri, 23 Aug 2002 21:47:09 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <000c01c24b18$8adca710$0101a8c0@cascade> (raw)
Is there a simple way to get around the problem of a missing binary C++
library (from gcc-2.95.3) on my Gentoo 1.4 system?
I am getting the following from the jdk1.4. I would prefer not to recompile
gcc just to get the compat lib.
/opt/sun-jdk-1.3.1.04/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading
shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory
It seems Linux suffers from the same problem as old windows, DLL hell ;)
