Hi,

I did a new build install using build-ix86-20010629.tbz2
Only problem I get during the kernel bootfase is
warning : unable to open an initial console

I check the /var/log/boot file a saw following :
chmod : getting attributes of `/dev/tty[p-za-e][0-9a-f]`: no such file
or directory

Can this be related to each other ?
When I check /dev and/or /dev-state, all tty devices are there.

Any ideas ?

TIA
Erik

Found that I was missing the 'devfs=mount' setting in menu.lst.

We do need to make some fixes for devfs and dev-state, fyi.
