(not the bin DIR). Also I know the location and name of the dir in 1.4 changes for the libjvm.so file from like "hotspot" to client and server I believe it was, I've had 1 or 2 issues with this under windows. try a symlink to the client one for good client load times and performance, or the server one if you have a beefy machine with lots of resources. it will run client code fine, it is just more aggressive with memory and JIT'ing of the code.
