Hi everyone,

it is a pleasure to announce Erik (stasibear) as a new member of our
dev team.

He is a long time user and like to contribute back now.

He is absolutely into containers, partially due to his day job and
will help to implement solid container support on Gentoo. He already
started to get LXD working, but his goal is to supply official full
Gentoo container/VM images.


Here some lines form himself:

The Commodore 64 was part of my formative teenage years in rural Iowa.
I spent my school years pursuing music and not touching computers.
When I learned that music-as-hobby had more to offer than
music-as-profession, and also saw what fun I was missing in the early
internet days, I bought a book on Java and maneuvered my way into a
web programming job.  I lived briefly in London and Colorado before
putting some roots down in Austin, Texas.  I've held jobs across
several industries: telecom, finance, game and now big data (the
listing for my current job required a degree in "computer science,
physics, or music").  Recent tech interests include containers,
erlang, rust, and federated services.  When I'm away-from-keyboard,
I'm hopefully embarrassing my offspring or playing an upright bass.
