Good day,

It is my pleasure to announce a new member to our fast growing family.
Brian "dolsen" Dolbec is joining us from Richmond, Canada and he will
be working in the tools-portage team for now. Moreover, he is the
upstream developer for layman and porthole utilities. Here is how he
describes himself:

I am 55, married with two kids:
a 26 yr. old stepdaughter,
a 12 yr. old daughter.

Currently we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 aquariums
and live 9 houses away from the west dyke of the tidal salt water marsh
of the pacific ocean.

For my day job, I am a refrigeration and heating journeyman working
mostly on commercial heating and air conditioning. Which often includes
working on computer room a/c's from tiny closet sized up to larger data
centers. Sometimes IT managers are surprised to find out I'm somewhat
of a geek too.

I am interested in alternative energy, environmentally friendly
energy solutions and in micro-controllers and their use. I have an
arduino and arduino compatible boards, but haven't yet started
playing/experimenting with them yet. I do have some project ideas in
mind for them. I've also flown radio controlled model airplanes for
many years as well as raced R/C model boats at speeds of 50-70 mph.

I spend most of my free time with my family, working on my computer,
whether it be checking the forums, irc channels I monitor, programming
on 1 or more of the projects I'm working on or even just watching some
videos I've downloaded. I probably should spend more of on yard/house
work

Please give him a warm welcome :)
