I need to put in our=20 application by Friday afternoon, but I'll be traveling most of the day=20 Friday. (BTW if anyone's in the Bay Area for PyCon or just near Santa=20 Clara, let me know.) For those of you who haven't been following the gentoo-soc list or the=20 GSoC program previously, it's a great program where we get college=20 students to spend a summer working full-time on Gentoo, funded by=20 Google. You can read more about the broader program at=20 . If you have projects that have been burning itches for months and/or=20 years and just can't find the time to get to them, this is a great=20 opportunity to get things started and even find a long-term maintainer=20 once the project is started. Our GSoC wiki subsite is at=20 and the ideas=20 page is at=20 . If you=20 have project ideas, this is the place to put them. It's critical to also=20 include potential mentors and prerequisite skills so students know which=20 ideas make sense and where to learn more about them. --=20 Thanks, Donnie Donnie Berkholz Council Member / Sr. Developer, Gentoo Linux Analyst, RedMonk --Hf61M2y+wYpnELGG Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.18 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAk9YRecACgkQXVaO67S1rtvsyQCg6KXo1/tk0RPRazVJfqJ5U67E jj0AoO4CYu6KpPlKXVwK3KPlLYiUWNUa =dbGo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Hf61M2y+wYpnELGG--
