The current ebuild is uninstallable for a typo in the ebuild since March
20th, there are currently open bugs and it builds a kernel module, which
is a burden to maintain (broken already again with .28, and as Tobias
points out in bug #215486, the package is dead upstream since 2005).
The same functionality seem to be available with FUSE and sshfs for
those needing an upgrade path that is probably the best option.
