While the thread on gentoo-dev is fairly short lived (4 days as of this e-mail) the biggest point of contention appears to be: * The 'unpack' helper function recognizes ;sf=tbz2 and ;sf=tgz extensions, for interoperability with gitweb. overlapping with: * SRC_URI supports a syntax extension which allows customization of output file names by using a "->" operator. If everyone wants we can just discuss it this week and bring it up for final approval on the ML or at the next meeting this month.
