Subject: [gentoo-council] EAPI 2 Approval Process
Date: Mon, 08 Sep 2008 14:45:32 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <48C572CC.30507@gentoo.org> (raw)
How does everyone feel about bringing up EAPI 2 this week. While the
thread on gentoo-dev is fairly short lived (4 days as of this e-mail)
the biggest point of contention appears to be:
* The 'unpack' helper function recognizes ;sf=tbz2 and ;sf=tgz
extensions, for interoperability with gitweb.
overlapping with:
* SRC_URI supports a syntax extension which allows customization
of output file names by using a "->" operator.
If everyone wants we can just discuss it this week and bring it up for
final approval on the ML or at the next meeting this month.
