[gentoo-council] Nominations open for 1 council slot

Hi all,

We have 1 open council slot because jokey got busy with real life. The 
council decided to open nominations for the next week, until 23:59 UTC 
Friday. Shortly after that, we will begin a week-long voting period.

gentoo-council mailing list and reply to this email, ensuring it's sent 
there.

I'd like to nominate zmedico, robbat2, tsunam and musikc. Why? Their
role in the project is so significant that they should get a chance to
run for a position on the Council.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'm far too busy with infra stuff and real life
at the moment, but I do hope to run in the next regular council
election.

For those that were trying to encourage me to run, I'd like to endorse
ssuominen (formerly known as drac, just renamed recently) instead.

After investigating on the reasons of why this is an election instead of
picking the next in line, I found out that is so because the correction
to GLEP39 decided says that to be the procedure:

The acceptance didn't seem to be unanimous due to some council members
preferring an election to be hold for the spot, therefore an election is
held.

In that spirit, as the second in line based on the full election in
summer, I accept the nomination with the same platform[1] except for the
last three lines talking about GUADEC, as they are obviously out of date
now.
