I made a cd and it works to some degree... but It doesn't seem to be
autoloading the appropriate network modules on multiple machines. I've only
had one work so far and I'm not sure what it has in it. but one was an intel
and it loaded with an e100 module the other was a nforce4 so it should work
off of forcedeth but I didn't try it. what is responsible for detecting
these and loading them (the modules were built) ?

I think that all is done by livecd-functions.sh..
I am planning to use networkmanager from Gentopia to configure network; anyone
got experience about it?

be happy to... I'm building various livecd's I came to gentoo catalyst
because I had dependancy issues with other livecds. I would like wifi
enabled as much as possible on the cd to but I feel ethernet is a priority.

I think we should focus on th livecd-stage2.spec, to check wich modules can be
used and wich not..this is a part of the one i am developing:

	rt2400
	rt2500
	bcm570x
	rtl8180
	zd121
	rt611
	at76c503a

What do you think about?

is coldplug not enabled by default with catalyst or do I have to turn it on?

It certaintly doesn't emerge itself. Add it to livecd/packages in livecd-stage1.

I know that. I meant does it add itself to the rc-scripts that run. or do I
have to add it manually in the stage2? because I'm 95% sure that I emerged
it.
