Can't you use the generic settings from the kernel config that's in
the cvs tree? The "standard" stage1 livecds I've been using have had
bootsplash in them for a while.

I want to have bootsplash ( or gensplash) in my livecd
In gentoo-dev-sources ( kernel 2.6.10) the framebuffer seems that don't work.
any suggestion? experiencies?

Yea, but the options for bootsplash and framebuffer should carry
across from vanilla ro dev...
