The problem we're definitely going to face is device node creation. I've spoken with solar about using fakeroot and it is something that we would like to pursue for the next catalyst incarnation. Of course, we want catalyst to use fakeroot/chroot based on catalyst.conf settings, so we can't just replace the current code. This is a planned feature for the catalyst 2.1 branch, but it hasn't been started yet, so it'll be some time before we get to this point. --=20 Chris Gianelloni Release Engineering Strategic Lead Alpha/AMD64/x86 Architecture Teams Games Developer/Council Member/Foundation Trustee Gentoo Foundation --=-QxSDcoISptEgpG528jgg Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGjVflkT4lNIS36YERAr5QAKC5tKldpHzLjzFOV1Hz3P6beWgYMgCguHk7 mes4K+ZeQPNhlop5//cTmng= =QbJb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-QxSDcoISptEgpG528jgg-- -- gentoo-catalyst@gentoo.org mailing list
