According to the snapshot I'm using, 20061217, the=20 > kernel is 2.6.18-r4. How can I find (or build) a kernel configuration=20 > file that represents a default kernel? I don't think I follow you. What are you looking for, exactly? What "default" do you mean? The Release Engineering default? The Linux Kernel team's default? My default for my personal machines? There really isn't a "default" per se. If you want what *I* would be using for 2007.0 (at this time), then you can grab the 2006.1 kernel config that was used for your architecture. In many cases, it is the exact same one that "genkernel all" uses. --=20 Chris Gianelloni Release Engineering Strategic Lead Alpha/AMD64/x86 Architecture Teams Games Developer/Council Member/Foundation Trustee Gentoo Foundation --=-Ihe/OvF6GbNfEfg0fwlV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFi/pekT4lNIS36YERAvKlAKCeZQeZU8Kf7G8oPRex0g4xmucDVwCffOY8 wKraUOFAE8mp7MdY0G4k3yE= =bmFW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-Ihe/OvF6GbNfEfg0fwlV-- -- gentoo-catalyst@gentoo.org mailing list
