You don't.  A least, you cannot do it until the fsscript runs in
livecd-stage2 without making modifications to catalyst itself, which
really shouldn't be that hard.

The *simplest* way would be for you to rebuild all of the stages with a
newer snapshot so that the newer readline is pulled in from the
beginning.
