gives the following error:

Cant figure out why I get two kernels/initramfs which I think is the cause of the error.

Also a question: I tried to find an option to control the compression used on the portage snapshot and the
generated stages but didn't find any. I would find it useful when testing different configs if one could
select compression method among none, gzip or bzip. That would make the test cycle faster.

Looks like we are the only ones getting this(with rc41 too) :( 
Wonder if this has something to do with 2006.0 liveCD install I used for installation?

I also noticed that I don't get a /mnt dir in my stage4 unless I also
add the baselayout package, but then I also get a few garbage files in /etc(passwd-, shadow-,
some passwd lock file).
