Synopsis
========

Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in PHP, the worst of which
could lead to arbitrary code execution.

Background
==========

PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is
especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML.

All PHP users should upgrade to the latest version:

  # emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=dev-lang/php-8.3.12:8.3"

Gentoo has discontinued support for php 8.1:

  # emerge --ask --verbose --depclean "dev-lang/php:8.1"
