What plugin should I be installing to get mp3 playback inside of Firefox?

OGG works fine but mp3 only offers to save the file.

I wasn't having this limitation with Firefox-bin.

Thanks,
Mark

www-plugins/gecko-mediaplayer is a plugin that uses mplayer.

Thanks Nikos. That looks like one good option.

As I'm mainly running KDE I think there must be a KDE solution? I'll
go looking for that.

Cheers,
Mark

In Firefox Edit->Preferences->Applications->MP3 audio
do you have "Save File" checked?
If so, changing it to whatever you have checked for Ogg Vorbis audio should
give you the same behaviour.

Very strange but my dialog has very few options, most specifically
none for OGG, mp3 or any other audio or video types. Literally there
are only 13 entries in that table.

Seems like I've not got something installed.

Firefox is Gtk so I guess a Gtk solution is just fine here.
