Don't know what exactly you mean, but the unicode use flag doesn't
cause any problems. Here's my keyboard section in xorg.conf, maybe it
helps:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "de"
Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
Option "XkbOptions" "nodeadkeys"
EndSection
You have to change the XkbLayout, of course :)
