Thank you very much for replying. Currently configuring kernel version 2.6.26 using "make menuconfig". Went to "filesystems" and then to "pseudo filesystems". The "proc" has already been activated. On this system, I cannot even de-activate the "proc". I did that for testing. Under "proc" there is "/proc/kcore support". That is also activated. Tried reading the help for the /proc/kcore but nothing there. I can manually set "CONFIG_PROC_PAGE_MONITOR=y" in the ".config" file. I would really like to learn how to set this using "make menuconfig". Please bear with me and guide me on how to set "CONFIG_PROC_PAGE_MONITOR=y" using "make menuconfig". P.V.Anthony
