I recopiled 2.6.26 and it worked. I tried it with 2.6.26 earlier but it didn't work for some odd reason. Since I create a short cut to my recent kernel source, the invidia driver was using that short cut when build against 2.6.26. The symlink /usr/src/linux points to /usr/src/linux-2.6.27. I don't know why that was happening but it's working now. Thank you.
