I screwed up and did a stage3 install, and now the system works as a charm. But before that did I sync; after that, deleted the ebuild and tried again, then I did a digest of the ebuild, and that worked, but somewhere on the way the system broke, i guess i shouldn't. But now i'm happy again with a brand new gentoo system.
