[gentoo-amd64] changing desktop

[gentoo-amd64] changing desktop

[DR GM SEDDON]

It seems i was premature.  i f I try and install anothe wm I find  files 
are blocked 'emerge unmerge windowmaker'  doesn't help.  How should I fix?

emerge -p <wm name>
It'll say what packages are blocking the merge. Unmerge the blockers  
and try again.

emerge documentation... whatever you want to call.

I'm not quite sure why you're telling me to read the docs[1] here...  
They say exactly what I did above; use emerge -p to find blockers,  
unmerge them and try again.

Can you post the output of the emerge with the blocking files messages? 
Also post your emerge --info output.

again, it would be wise to post the exact error message here, so people 
can see the version of the packages in question.
