The 2005.1 and 2005.0 profiles are nearly identical, but that might 
change in a while, especially if you're using a sub-profile. Switching 
to 2005.1 won't change much, but that way you can be sure that you'll 
always get the latest improvements.

If you're on 2004.3 currently, first upgrade to 2005.0 using the upgrade 
guide [1], then switch to 2005.1 by simply doing

# ln -sf /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2005.1 /etc/make.profile
