Sorry about this, but I seem to be in a Catch-22.

I've been running BOINC for a long time but now I want to remove all traces
of it from my system (which I've done) and all traces of me from their
system (which I can't do).

The BOINC Web page asks me to log in before I can ask this question on their
message boards, but when I try to do so it says it has no user with my
e-mail address, which is arrant nonsense. The BOINC Web site also has
several other design problems, one of which is that as far as I can see it
isn't possible to delete accounts.

Can anyone tell me how I can remove myself from BOINC and from all projects
I have run using it?

I'm no help with this, but why do you want to remove all traces of your
account from their system? I ask because I've been trying to install BOINC
and that worries me a little. If you want your account deleted, maybe
sending them an e-mail to that affect with your username and password would
do the trick.

I might be wrong but BOINC is just the client. Shouldn't you visit the
project's web page, for example worldcommunitygrid.org?

In any case, most projects send emails to inactive participants and ask if
there is a problem or if you want to unsubscribe.

It would be nice to be able to find any address that has a person behind it.
The reason I want to be removed is that I no longer want any association
with the project until it develops a proper attitude towards its users,
particularly in the management of bugs and the publication of information
on releases. They need a proper, competent project manager - they may have
one, for all I know, but it's hard to find any evidence of it.
