Hi,
i just bought an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60.
Gentoo is running very well, but I can't get the fingerprint reader working.
The proprietary "tfm-fingerprint" is not working with amd64, and the
free "thinkfinger" is
a) not really stable
b) doesn't work with KDM.
I can use it with thinkfinger, and _sometimes_ it works for authentification
in the console.
Has anybody got that working on amd64?
cu
Dieter

I just got a x60s, which is a 32bit core duo. And the fingerprint reader
seems to be working perfectly with thinkfinger 0.3. Even in gdm (its a
pam module after all).

it works for me in the console sometimes, and i read about it working with
gdm, but not with kdm, thats my problem.
i just killed my whole system, obviously pam or something related got badly
hurt, system hangs after "setting console font"
