Remove the symlink and make one to a supported profile. 2007.0 is not out yet, 
you should be using 2006.1.

rm /etc/make.profile
ln -s /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2006.1 /etc/make.profile

Then all will be well again.
