hi,
is there any difference between those two march options?
in the wiki they use k8 for singlecore and athlon64 for dualcore.
i have an X2 4800+ and currently I am running with k8...

No, they are exactly the same. The number of cores/cpus has no effect on
the compiler (its only an issue for the OS to deal with).
