Hi all,
I saw the discussion with A Ross etc etc...
So, Is there any documentation to get Xen3 working on Gentoo-amd64 using
portage? I am looking for a paravirtualization doc:
I need to guest a Windows XP on my Gentoo host...
Thank you.

Did you try this:
  http://gentoo-wiki.com/Xen

We used that guide a fair while ago to setup out Xen dom0 - not sure if it's still up-to-date, but it's worth a shot.

After that, the Xen mailing list is full of useful info on getting a paravirtualised domain running.

Yours,
Craig

In kernel 2.6.20 there'll be a paravirtualizer built in-kernel (KVM
http://kvm.sourceforge.net/). It uses a slightly modified QEMU as a manager
and requires a decent CPU supporting it (feature called VT - it's highly
probable your CPU does it).

AFAIK there are patches for <2.6.20 kernels to get it working.

You might start off with QEMU+kqemu (works perfectly on my amd64) and then
move to 2.6.20 paravirtualizer when it appears, as disk images will be
probably compatible.
