Currently we "inherit" many *-linux keywords from the main tree. The
~mips-linux keyword is one of them. However, since nobody on the team
has such machine, and I also don't know of any active users of a Prefix
on such machine, we decided to drop the keyword. If you're using it,
speak up now before it is entirely removed from the tree.
Another candidate is ia64-linux, which I used to use/have access to, but
I do not use any more, since it's simply not really adding anything for
me. If noone needs it, I'd like to drop it as well. So also here,
speak up if you need it.

For the ia64-linux I can see some future, as HP pushes the Itanium
platform in general, running either HP-UX, Linux or Windows (and even
OpenVMS).
Although we do not run Linux on ia64 yet, because it is 64bit only
(unlike hpux, linux does not support 32bit emulation on ia64 AFAICT), we
eventually could switch one of our compile-farm nodes from ia64-hpux to
ia64-linux - maybe the cross-compilers would run faster then...
But it's ok with me to drop ia64-linux ATM, and to re-add it when there
is time to do so.

It will be trivial to do so if that happens. I guess we'll eliminate
mips-linux and ia64-linux in one go for now then.

I have ia64-linux but not much use for it ATM. We are moving away from
ia64-linux actually. So, tecnically, I *could* support it is any user
wanted it but since no one has spoken yet..drop++.
