Hello!
I'm compiling new 2.6.1 kernel and has problem with SCSI devices.
Symbios 53c8xx driver goes system to crash (as module, or builtin).
Hardware: AlphaPC164SX, Symbios 53c875 SCSI controller.
Does anybody successfully used new kernel with such system?

I've heard that 2.6.1 broke some things badly for alpha. You're better
to stick with 2.6.0 for the moment, or perhaps the problems are fixed in
one of the available patch sets (2.6.2_pre or Andrew Morten's patches)
