I'm thinking, as I'm currently recompile my whole system with teh ccc and cxx 
compilers from compaq. It would be nice to have a use flag similar to the icc 
for x86, so you could set it in the packages thats known to compile with the 
compaq compilers.

I would really love to have a ccc use flag, it would let us keep track
of which packages work with ccc, apply any patches that are required,
etc, etc. but after a brief discussion with other developers, we've
decided to wait until the new cc-config scripts have been implemented,
which will let users change `compiler profile`, i'm not sure how its
going to work yet, but it sounds cool.

Considering how long this has been taking, how about starting on it
yourself...?  ;-)
